Work Injury Management
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ Work Injury Management program is an individualized, work-oriented program designed to restore a patient's strength, endurance, movement and flexibility for a safe and quick return to work. Our Work Injury Management program is designed to provide the strengthening, conditioning, body mechanics education and job simulation necessary to enable the worker to progress to the point of returning to work.
A work conditioning program typically lasts between 2-6 weeks. This time can vary depending upon the physical demand level of the job and/or how quickly the patient can reach their work goals. A work conditioning patient is seen 2-5 times per week for 2-4 hours per day depending on physician referral and patient progress.
Work Conditioning & Hardening Goals include increased:
Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE)
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) is designed to collect information regarding physical abilities to determine whether or not a patient can return to previous job duties. FCE's are generally used as part of a Workmen's Compensation claim or after an injury that inhibits the patient from returning to work.
Pelvic Floor Conditions
Pelvic Floor Conditions are typically listed as Women's Health on physical therapy sites. This is not always true though, as men also have pelvic floor conditions that will benefit greatly from the treatment of Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ highly qualified therapists.
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ post-surgical management programs follow specific post-surgical rehab physical therapy protocols focusing on individualized treatment interventions with the goal of therapy of returning the patient to optimal strength, function and mobility as quickly as possible.
Maximum's treatment program is specifically created for the individual patient's post surgical needs and follows Maximum's team approach to therapy. The therapist communicates closely with the physician concerning the patient's needs and recovery and works with the patient for optimal results in the least amount of time. Maximum's therapists pay close attention to patient pain levels and use a variety of modalities to reduce pain to manageable levels.
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ highly qualified and skilled staff have been trained and educated to work with a variety of post-operative procedures. These include but are not limited to:
Vestibular & Balance Therapy
In the process of vestibular and balance therapy treatments, Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ highly trained therapists evaluate the patient's balance, gait, posture and the patient's compensatory habits and responses. After the evaluation, our therapists will design a specific individualized balance therapy treatment plan of exercises and retraining for the head, body and eyes to retrain the vestibular system.
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ occupational therapists work to help individuals improve their independence in a work or home environment. Those with work-related injuries such as lower back problems or repetitive stress injuries would benefit from our occupational therapy assessment, evaluation, and treatment for adaptive equipment or modified work/home environments.
People with visual or cognitive conditions, such as those who have had a stroke, are often referred to occupational therapy or home physical therapy for evaluation and rehabilitation. Occupational therapists will recommend modifications required to help improve optimal functioning. Home living skills such as cooking, cleaning, bathing, dressing and personal grooming are practiced and taught to help people return to independent living environments. Special home adaptive needs are assessed and special equipment such as reaches, tub seats, grab bars, sock and shoe aids may be used during a course of occupational therapy and rehabilitation.
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ speech therapists will help people develop excellent speech communication skills when voice, swallowing or language disorders are present. As members of the American Speech Therapy Association, our speech therapists adhere to the American Speech Therapy Association’s mission to "ensure that all people with speech, language, and hearing disorders have access to quality services to help them communicate more effectively."
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ speech therapists work with adults of all ages with communication difficulties such as those who have slurred speech from strokes, stuttering problems from head injuries, and heavy foreign accents.
Maximum Rehabilitation Services’ Industrial Work Injury Program helps the injured worker recover from a work-related injury and helps return a worker back to work when maximum health and function has been achieved.
